Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at National Taiwan University (NTU) invites applications for 1–4 tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, with appointments starting February 1, 2027 or August 1, 2027.

- Position Overview

We seek outstanding candidates to join our dynamic and internationally recognized MSE programs. Successful candidates will contribute to cutting-edge research and deliver high-quality education in materials science and engineering.

- Qualifications

Education: Ph.D. in MSE-related fields.

Research Excellence: Demonstrable records of outstanding research achievements.

【115年AI-MAT「教育部特色領域研究實習計畫」徵選有志研究之大專生數名】

臺灣大學新穎材料原子級科學研究中心（AI-MAT）於107年獲第一期教育部高教深耕特色領域研究中心支持成立，匯聚本校物理、化學/化工、材料科學等領域的優秀師資。五年來專注於原子級材料設計開發、原子級材料檢測與原子級材料應用等研究，在學術表現、人才培育、國際合作交流、產學合作與標竿競逐等方面皆有亮眼成果。112年續獲教育部第二期計畫經費補助，本期計畫呼應國家重大需求與全球科技發展趨勢，以優勢原子級科學為根基，致力發展淨零科技(Net Zero)與量子材料(Quantum Materials)兩大關鍵新興課題。

中心提供優秀的研究環境，為鼓勵積極進取、對研究有志的大專生加入，規劃推動「教育部特色領域研究實習計畫」。申請者請依個人研究興趣，事先與有意加入之研究組計畫主持人會談。通過審查後，參與短期研究至少二個月(115年7月1日~8月31日)，並可延長；期間須參與本中心規劃之暑期實作課程，並出席7月初的開幕典禮及八月底的實習研究成果發表會。

中心亦將依申請者之研究表現，由計畫主持人評估後核給每月暑期研修獎助金，金額上限為每月新台幣2萬元整(暑期研修獎助金之實際金額，將依各實驗室申請人數與實驗室容量等核給)。

除在各計畫主持人的實驗室從事暑期研究外，今年亦開設暑期選修課程如下：

【國立成功大學前沿量子科技研究中心2026暑期研究計畫】

為鼓勵學生於暑假期間積極參與學術研究與實作訓練，拓展學術視野與實務經驗，國立成功大學前沿量子科技研究中心每年暑假積極辦理暑假研究計畫。

本計畫提供學生與專業研究團隊共同合作的機會，內容涵蓋跨領域研究主題，並設有完善的指導與成果發表機制，讓同學有機會體驗研究的過程，誠摯邀請有興趣之同學踴躍參與。

- 報名期限：即日起至2026年5月15日止

- 活動期間：2026年7月1日至2026年8月31日（共計約8週）

- 參與對象：目前具備在臺正式學籍之大學生皆可申請（外籍生須持有居留證）。建議申請前先與本中心團隊教師聯繫，並取得指導教授同意書。應屆畢業生須確認將繼續升學且已取得錄取通知後，始得提出申請。

In my colloquium I will trace the historical motivation and the success of the search strategy for the quark-gluon plasma that guided the research program of the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC), the first billion-dollar scale facility primarily dedicated

to nuclear research, and more recently the Large hadron Collider. I will highlight the expected and unsuspected accomplishments of the program. In the final part of my lecture I will give an outlook on the research program for the next large nuclear physics

facility, the Electron-Ion Collider, which is expected to start operations in the next decade.
